Floral Preservation
Most cut flowers end up in the trash.
Let’s change that.
Embracing our unwavering sentimentality, we're dedicated to rescuing your cherished memories and floral investments from being discarded. Whether it's the echo of your wedding day, the solace of memorial flowers, the joy of milestone birthdays, or the spontaneity of roadside blooms – trust us to dry our best. Together, we'll create keepsakes that tell your story beautifully and display your flowers, forever.
Using a harmonious blend of ancient wisdom and modern techniques, we delicately dry, press, and transform most blooms into everlasting artwork. Clients can choose from a variety of custom layouts, framing options, pressed and dimensional pieces. Our only limits are our collective creativity and Mother Nature. Oh, and our schedule…it’s best to inquire as soon as you know you’ll have flowers you want to keep!

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Honestly, why not!? Plus, science says that flowers create serotonin and dopamine in our brains. *adds to cart!*
But seriously, flowers are earthly delights and significant parts of our happiest and hardest times. They are symbols of all of life’s grandest emotions. Without preservation, fresh cut flowers often live less than a week. Preserving flowers keeps them out of the compost and treated like the art Mother Nature always intended them to be.
-
As soon as you know you will have flowers you want to preserve. Getting on our calendar ASAP ensures that we can fulfill your request. We take a limited number of clients to ensure top-tier quality for our keepsake pieces.

Our minimum investment is $350.

Complimentary when booking Megan Corbat Floral Design for full-service florals. Client drop-off in 30341 is always free. We also offer a concierge pick up options and UPS shipping to us at the client’s expense.
-
Always let your florist know that you want to preserve your bouquet ahead of time if you can.
For designs, a variety of flowers offer more interest, movement, and design options. Mono designs are lovely and lend themselves to a more modern design. Colors preserve more reliably than white. Seasonal, local flowers are the freshest, and the freshest flowers preserve the best. Greenery makes a frame look full, and a little bit goes a long way!
Finally, never use a bouquet that you intend to preserve for a bouquet toss. Ever.
-
We absolutely love doing more abstract compositions by painting with the petals in our version of Oshibana-style artistry. Our love for floral preservation began with a press of Megan’s wedding bouquet in 2018. Therefore, emulating your original floral design is a forever favorite, too. We generally offer designs ranging from re-creation of original design to abstract design to crisp cut shapes or letters. Each layout is specific to the client. We’ll always suggest layout styles if you are unsure what you would prefer.
-
That depends on a few things! If your flowers contain more dimensional blooms such as craspedia (billy balls) and you wish to retain more spherical shapes, dimensional displays are the better option. Whispy and delicate blooms? Let’s press ‘em!
-
Yes! If you are already a fresh floral design client, we will include preservation recommendations in your proposal. If you are not a fresh floral design client, send us the same inspiration photos you shared with your florist! We are always open to collaborating with your florist at their discretion to deliver you the best final design for preservation.
-
Yes! Shoot us an e-mail requesting to see them and we’ll get them on camera for you!
-
Yes! We strive to stick as close to natural colors as possible to protect nature’s integrity and the true beauty of floral preservation. However, if your florals contain many white or varieties not preserved in any color but brown, we will make our best recommendations to honor your original floral design. We’ll alert you as soon as possible if we believe your design could benefit from color correction. Color correction services will be charged on a case-by-case basis, starting at $125, and can add up to 4 weeks to your delivery date.
-
Yes! Client credits for preservation begin at $350 and are digitally presented. Please contact us for gifting.
-
The fresher the flowers, the better the outcome will be. The best situation is 1-4 days after the wedding/event, and the flowers should be refrigerated (not in the freezer) until they are brought to us, picked up or shipped.
-
If there are exposed stems, put them in a little water. Never put the flowers in a freezer. This will ruin them. Keep away from the sun and heat.
-
No! Our team will remove any mechanics your florist uses when we process it for drying.
-
As long as you care for your piece, it will last forever! As with any piece of artwork, keep out of direct sunlight as well as humid and damp conditions. It can be normal for colors to change over time!
-
All flowers are hand-dried using various ancient and modern techniques specific to what’s best for each type! Some flowers will undergo a single drying method, whereas others preserve best using a combination of three methods.
-
We will try our best to press any flower and use the best flowers in your bouquet. We may even have to take it apart if it will help with the pressing process. However, some flowers do not make it through the pressing process, which is normal. Fleshy flowers that feel bouncy when you touch them have high water content and are a bit trickier to dry and/or press.
-
No! And that’s the beauty of preservation!
-
Blue, yellow, purple, orange. green. Pink is tricky, but some shades stay truer than others. Red tends to darken.
-
White, white, and white. A good guideline to remember is that the lighter the flower, the more likely it is to brown during preservation.
-
Yes! Please inquire by sending images of the blooms or design you would like to preserve. We will send you a proposal that includes a suggested list of blooms that will preserve well from the original design, the cost to replace the blooms and create your preservation project. Prices vary depending on blooms, availability, and project type. We love taking on these designs and welcome the opportunity to re-create life’s significant flower memories. Please note that re-creations can add 1-14 weeks in addition to our normal turnaround time due to the floral seasonality.
-
Absolutely not! In times of joy and grief and everything in between, flowers are there. We preserve them all. Celebration of Life and Milestone birthday florals are popular preservation choices, too.
-
Maybe! Send us a picture and we’ll let you know what we suggest! We can always opt for a re-creation, too.
